Pledge of Responsible Use of Mobile Phone by Teens
[This Pledge is taken by all the participants at the end of every seminar on Mobile Phone Addiction conducted by Dr. George Palackal]
- Children are ready for mobile phones when they’re mature enough to use them responsibly.
- Responsible phone use is about developing healthy phone habits, managing costs, sticking to family rules, keeping phones safe and being respectful.
- You can encourage your child to use a phone responsibly by modelling responsible phone use yourself.
- It’s a good idea to discuss and agree on phone rules with your child.
- Rules might cover what your child uses the phone for, and also when, where and how much they use it.
