Adolescents’ media use represents the new normative need for information, communication, recreation and functionality, yet problematic internet / smart phone use has increased. Given the alarming prevalence rates worldwide and the increasingly problematic use of gaming and social media, the need for an integration of prevention and treatment efforts appears to be most urgent and important.

What is the Solution?

Dr. Bro. P. J. George, has developed a programme to address the issue with the students of Std IX to XII. It involves 4 sessions (3 hours) for students which include two standard Tests of Mobile Phone Addiction. Test results will give the school administration clarity on the extent, type and the intensity of mobile phone addiction of their students. Besides guiding the students out of addiction, follow up sessions for teachers and parents are also part of the programme.
