ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr.George Palackal is widely acclaimed as an inspiring teacher with 24 years of experience in India, Fiji Islands and the Kingdom of Tonga, of which 17 years were spent as Principal.
He holds M.Sc (Maths) and B.Ed Degrees besides a Ph.D in Counselling Psychology.
“Internet Gaming Disorder among adolescents in Metro Manila: A Case Study” was the subject of his Doctoral Thesis.
His article titled “Secret of Success of Xavier College” was published in the Education Gazette in Fiji. He has authored an e-book, “Handbook for School Principals and Teachers” on the request of the Ministry of Education in Fiji and co-authored the book “TEACHER 2.0” published by St. Paul Publications in Feb 2022.
The title of his Chapter is “26 Core-Beliefs That Will Make You the Best Teacher”.
He is a member of the Congregation of the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel and he pioneered Montfort Brothers Mission in the Kingdom of Tonga and introduced a herbal treatment for Hepatitis B in that country and saved many lives. He also christened the medicinal plant Phyllanthus Neruri as “Taumua Lelai” in the native Tongan Language in 1991.
He was a Co-Opted member of the National Committee for the Prevention of Suicide (NCOPS) in Fiji for 6 years; Provincial Superior of the Montfort Brothers for 6 years; Convener, National Education Commission and the President of All India Association of Montfort Schools (AIAMS) also for 6 years.Currently, he is the founder Director of Montfort Counselling and Educational Services (MCES) in Chennai.
He is passionate about Counselling and is pursuing his second career as a Counsellor, Trainer and Motivational Speaker.He does Counselling both face to face as well as online besides going from school to school across India conducting seminars primarily for High School and HSS students especially on Mobile Phone Addiction.
So far, he has done 120 such seminars in 12 States across India since August 22, covering 12,000+ students in 40 schools. He has travelled one round around the world and has visited 26 countries. His personal motto is,
